Wooden pallet design software: your first 3D model and technical drawing
Design a wooden pallet in your browser, check carriers and blocks, and prepare a dimensioned drawing and parts list from the same model.
PalletDrawing is browser-based software for wooden pallet manufacturers who need 3D views, dimensioned technical drawings and branded quotations. Palo guides you through the dimensions; the Classic Editor provides table-based editing. Start with the construction type and units, then check the placement of every component.
What to prepare before drawing
- The overall pallet length and width and the intended handling arrangement.
- The width, thickness and quantity of deck and bottom boards, plus carrier and block sizes.
- The document your customer needs: a 3D view, a technical drawing or a combined PDF.
1. Choose the pallet construction
Open Start drawing with Palo from the home page. Choose a block or stringer pallet. A new block pallet starts with 3 carriers and 9 blocks in total. This is a starting arrangement: change the carrier count and blocks per carrier when your design requires it. Existing saved designs keep their own dimensions.
2. Check dimensions and placement
Enter board and support dimensions using the selected unit consistently. Inspect the top view for board gaps and the side view for the relationship between layers. Rotate the 3D model to examine the underside too. A convincing visual alone does not establish that a pallet is ready for production; check the written dimensions against the actual specification.
3. Prepare documents from the same design
Name the design and save it to your account. In the output area choose a technical drawing, 3D view or combined presentation. Add your company logo and drawing information before exporting. Download access depends on your current account plan; the pricing page explains the available options.
Does a pallet drawing verify load capacity?
No. Preparing dimensions, material volumes and drawings is different from validating a safe load rating. The handling conditions, materials and fasteners require separate evaluation. A dimensional preset or a stamp shown on the drawing does not provide certification.
