Parts

Hardware and consumables

This list does not add parts to the drawing; it records what is needed to assemble the pallet. It goes into the table on the technical drawing and into the cut list.

What are these for?

Bolt
Passes through holes in the parts and is tightened with a washer and nut on the other side. It can be taken apart; used for heavy loads, machine feet and clamps. Where you add a counterbored hole, the bolt is drawn in the 3D view.
Screw
Grips the wood with its thread; no nut is needed. Joins thick parts such as posts, blocks and braces.
Nail
Fixes boards to runners, blocks and stringers. Helically threaded or ring-shank nails resist pulling out better.
Strap
Steel or plastic band that ties the load to the pallet; it is tensioned and closed with a seal.
Metal fitting
Metal pieces such as angle brackets, splice plates and D-rings; they reinforce a joint or give a tie-down point.
Other
Anything else that belongs on the list, such as felt strip, glue or corner protectors.

Load carried

No load. Add a cylinder or a box to show what the pallet carries.
